Credit card point transfers each month

So - my question is:

When the credit card cycle comes through each month sometimes I see a different transfer for Marriott Stays - sometimes there are 2-3 or sometimes there is 1. Sometimes these correspond to the properties I stayed at, sometimes they don't.

What's my best course of action for making sure I am getting the right number of points?
