What Is Considered a "Stay"

Hi All,

New to this forum!  Can anyone tell me what the MR program defines as a "stay"?  I was just upgraded to Gold from Silver and in order to maintain my Gold status I have to log 6 stays between April 1 and June 30.  So is a "stay" 6 nights or 6 different reservations?
