Ever receive a silver JW Marriott platinum elite pin to wear on clothing?

I was at the JW in San Antonio and was given a silver pin to wear.  I was told it was to help employees recognize those with elite status.  I wore it out of curiousity.  No one came up to me, which was fine, but I was wondering if wearing the pin does bring recognition, perks, etc...just found it interesting.  Anyone else get one of these?
