I thought I would try out my new HH Diamond status by booking a night with HH points at the brand new (Opening 12/18) Garden Inn Downtown Phoenix. It is a cat 5 property and according to Hilton's web site a cat 5 should go for 30 - 40,000 points/night. I can understand that at this time they might be booked up the first few weeks, but for Jan - April they are quoting 92,000+ points/night!! When I get into June they are running 24 - 33,000+ per night. I will have to give Marriott credit for their fixed points/night policy. Maybe during the holidays we will walk down and check it out before I use my HH points.
