This hotel is directly across from the Convention center and the city's only Outlet stores which does not have Polo that I like. The staff are very helpful. I got upgraded to a suite very quickly.
You can walk to the National WWII Museum and the Lousiana Civil War Museum easily (7-9 minutes).
I can tell that some Marriott staff like the lady at the JW New Orleans who checked me in after I checked in using app, pretended to search for an upgrade room for a long time and told me that she did not find any EVEN THOUGH it was clear that it has upgrade room as it was a low season (12/15). In this case, JW New Orleans lowered its rate from $119 reserved in 9/15 to $89 in 12/15!
