I just read in the WSJ that Delta will honor Starwoods elite status for flights and Starwood will likewise honor Deltas status for hotels. I am not sure of all the perks that they will get although they mentioned flight upgrades, early boarding etc. I just made Platinum Premier for Marriott but I am not at a high tier level for an airline as most of my Marriott stays are within driving distance so I don't accrue airline elite status. I would be interested in knowing if anyone has heard anything about a partnership or has there been any talk regarding the possibility of forming one. Thanks
